Easy Bed Canopy ~ DIY

Hello friends!  I'm busy sewing cushion covers for the vintage sofa redo.  If you missed it, click vintage sofa redo for a quick look at the plan.  Pictures of that finished project soon to come.  In the mean time.  I have several other projects in the works.  One being this easy to make bed canopy.  Take a look...

I'm going for an exotic look... so to speak... in this room, so I used a gold sari and with a contrasting black and cream fabric.

All you need is fabric, and two curtain rods.

Measure for the length of your front panel.  Cut that piece off and flip it, then sew it back on so the pretty side will be facing out when you drape your fabric over the rods.

Hang the rods from the ceiling above the middle of the bed and against the back wall, then drape your fabric over it.

See, super easy!

    1. lol, It's not as much as it seems. I think I used about 8 yards and a sari... but you could get away with only using 4 yards (cut it in half, length-wise) or just 8 yards and no sari... not too bad. : )
Not that you wanted to know all that ... lol

  6. I have a question on how to know where/how to drill a hole in the ceiling. My stud finder isn't picking it up... I have popcorn ceilings and I'm also scared of electrical wires. :( It would help a lot! Thanks!
