Baskets and Buckets In The Entryway!

So, yesterday I was hitting the yard sales with a mission.  I was hoping to find something to jazz up the right side of my entryway which looked like this,

Just working with what I already had around the house, the area was feeling a little "washed out".  Lucky for me I found something to fix that!  Guess what...

Baskets!  So you are probably thinking what the %#*&.  How or why would baskets make a difference.  Well they inspired me to say the least.  So here you go... baskets and buckets!

Ok, so did you see that coming?  Here are some more pics of the area.  The only thing now is that I still can't decide which chair I like best.  The Breuer chair or the wooden one.  You will see both being used in the next few pics.  I think I am leaning towards the Breuer one at the minute.  I think it lends a little modern vibe to what could be a very country looking area and I love that.  But, I don't know I like them both.  The little wooden chair makes the area look more Pottery Barn-ish, which I love too.

I love how this turned out!  What do you think?

  1. I was expecting a chair or some sort of sit down. I definitely didn't expect buckets and baskets, but you know what it works. I don't know you very well, but through your posts whenever I see something like that I just think to myself that's so you. :)

  2. lol! Didn't think you would see the basket thing coming. I didn't either to be honest. I love the spot now though. I think it's the texture and warm wood tones! Let's see how long it lasts.

  3. I definitely get the Pottery Barn reference, but I think that's because you style everything so well! If there's a country-ness to it, it's definitely an elegant country-ness. Looks fantastic!
