Last night I half jokingly asked my husband, "honey do you mind if I paint the hardwood floors" and his response while giving me that, are you freakin crazy look, was, "do you really want too?????"
Deep down, I would LOVE too, however, the majority of my downstairs area is all hardwood and all runs together. So, for someone like myself who loves to change things so often, I think that painting the floors would be a little too "committal" for me. But, I do LOVE the look!

So where do you stand on painted wood floors?
I have a hard time painting PRETTY wood furniture that I could never paint wood floors. The only way I'd do it is if they were in really bad shape and I wanted to do that before a bigger change (taking out the wood floors). It does look pretty though :)

ReplyDeleteThat's too funny! I kinda feel the same way you do about painting pretty wood. But, I have been tempted to try it in my entryway, in like an area rug type pattern. I'm a chicken butt though! : )
