OMG ~ High Gloss Coffee Table Makeover!

Hi all! Hope your weekend was wonderful! I was in DIY overdrive this weekend.  I was playing with EPOXY!  Remember the coffee table I just posted?  Here it was.

It had a faux tray on the top, that I didn't care for.  But, I loved the shape of the base and the casters.  So here is what I did...

Doesn't look like the same table does it?!  I'm going to do an in-depth "how to" on this Glaze Coat Finish.  I know, I know, I have a list of "how to" posts I owe you at this point.  They are all on the way! Promise!

I had some major "freak out" moments while working with this stuff.  The good news though... all the problems you can run into when applying this stuff are fixable.  Stay tuned for all the tit-bits I learned while using it.  It is definitely a "practice makes perfect" kind of product.

So what did you do this weekend??

Smiles!

  1. Oh post this how to first! That looks amazing and I'm dying to know how you did it. I just took an old desk (laminate...it's my tester) and sanded it slightly and will be priming it this weekend. I'm hoping to do it in a super high gloss hot pink. It will be my first project like that..eek!

    1. Hi Julie, hard?... hmmm... I wouldn't say it's hard, just tricky! Takes some getting used to, that's for sure! I will say that I was a little scared of it to start! lol had visions of sticking the table to the floor and my hand to the table and all that sort of thing. I had never used it before so I didn't know what to expect. Once you start working with it though... you realize it's not that scary... just particular.
