Over Ambitious Floor Pillows

I saw this DIY on Design Sponge, and thought what a great idea!  I'll give that a try!  They are floor pillows crocheted out of an old duvet cover.

So...... 6 years, 11 months, 28 days, 18 hours, 44 minutes and 7 seconds later (not really, its just felt that long), this is how far I've gotten,

I had to put the water bottle for a size reference.  Good lord this will take a life time!  And that poor lady made two of these!  She must be a super fast crocheter.  The part that seems to take forever is cutting the strips of fabric up.  I am using a satin sheet.  It creates a silky and shaggy look. And, it does have a nice feel to it.  Very heavy,.  I will post the finished project... if I ever get there.

But it is a cool idea.  What do you think?  Got the time?
