Cutest Repurposed Project Ever!
I came across these pics while surfing the web. I'm not sure who did the makeover but I thought it was soooo cute it should be shared.
Dining Room Wall Of Art Update
I am redoing a wall of art in my dining, and after looking at the room for awhile I felt like I needed a few smaller pictures to add in with what I already had. It seemed like fate that I ended up at an estate sale of a woman who was an artist. I was so excited to find dozens and dozens of hand painted original pieces of art! Here are a few of the pieces I got. I thought everything she did was great, so I chose my pieces more on color than content. ~ Artwork by, Marjorie A. Seay ~ Mediums - Acrylic, Pastels, Ink, & Charcoal
The top three paintings
all of these
and these
I love the cow! It's my favorite!
There was no rhyme or reason for the way I put them up on the wall. I eyeballed them all as I went until I was happy with the way they looked. They got changed around several times, and yes I did poke a few extra holes in the wall than needed.

Entryway Update - Ain't Gonna Happen
Ok, so I had hoped to create a look of wallpaper, without the "wallpaper" something like this,
and here is how I attempted to go about it,
using painters tape,
I ended up with trees
Then after all this taping, I was going to paint over it all with a lighter color, then pull off the tape and voila, a master piece, but instead I decided, I hated it. So now back to the drawing board.
Entryway Hint #2
Here is another hint for what I am attempting to do in my entryway. I love these photos.

Love These Looks - Weathered Wood
Ok, so I have projects working, as usual, but nothing post ready yet. So I thought I would put up a couple of my inspiration photos. Aged, weathered, and worn wood, looks sooo pretty

Love this painted table looking aged and well used. I also love the fabric on these chairs.

This counter clad in old fence boards looks so yummy, I wish I had a place to do this in my house.

I like the console table and little stool.
I love this storage table.

What do you think about the weathered wood look? Love it? Or leave it?

Screen Art Redo
One more artsy redo. I found these pieces in weekly round up 8, for $2 a piece. They look like they may have been part of a screen.
They are made out of crushed seashells and sequins.
Here they are after a little brightening up,
I added a little color (acrylic paints, primary colors, red, orange, blue, yellow, and green blended into each other.) to the background. Now I think they have much more impact and don't look as dated. What do you think?

Living Room Redo
For this redo I had the brown corduroy sectional, a teak buffet, and 2 Heywood Wakefield end tables, from weekly round up 11 to work with.

Now, here is the redo using the corduroy sofa, teak buffet, and Heywood Wakefield end tables.
I used the two Heywood Wakefield end tables together to create a geometric coffee table.

Weekly Round-Up ~ Thrift Finds
Great finds in weekly round up 11. 1st up a vintage Ficks Reed sofa, that can be used as a sofa or a love seat and chair. Or, combined with corner and end tables to make a sectional.
I felt like I won the lottery with these pieces! All great quality, and I love mixing mid century modern with traditional! "Moditional" Can't wait to get start on the redo.

Rainbow Of Rooms
How much color do you have in your house? I seem to have a lot of earth tones and not so much bright colors on the walls in my house, but every time I come across inspiration photos like the ones below, I feel the urge to run to the paint store.
This last pic. with the orange chairs and purple flowers against the worn gray doors is actually my favorite. Go figure the color is in the furniture and accessories and NOT on the walls. hmmmm
