Repurposed Chest Of Drawers

Here is my latest DIY project.  This old beat up chest of drawers is where some of the drawers came from for my "tall wall" redo.  In the spirit of the "waste not, want not" attitude here is what I decided to do with the rest.

Then I painted it and used an old cupboard shelf and left over tiles I had to make two shelves.

Ta da!  All finished!
More storage space!

  3. I have two chest of drawers that drawers will no longer stay on tract, but other wise in very good condition. I couldn't bring myself to putting it out on the street. I can use one in my daughter's room, and the other in the library.

  4. Do you strip the old furniture first before painting or just scruff up the finish with sandpaper and paint over it? Thanks much

  6. That came out beautiful. I'm thinking of starting a side gig refinishing and refurbishing household items in preparation for my retirement, thanks for giving me some great ideas.
