Loveseat Turned Console Table

Good Morning, hello, how are ya!  Here is my latest little project.  It is a simple one!
I found this frame of a loveseat.  No cushions, but that's OK.  I saw something different when I looked at it.  See the arms, and legs.  They are rectangles of teak wood.

What did I see?  Well first,
I removed the seat and the back. (There is a piece of wood that runs across the top, under the glass, that connects the end pieces, and supports the glass.) What do you have left?

A console table!

Told you it was a simple one!
YaY!

  1. Wow! That's a neat console table :) and I love teak wood. You're so creative!!! I finished my buffet redo yesterday except for the hardware (they come in the mail tomorrow). Le sigh I'm not sure I'm liking it, but it might just be because it's missing the hardware.

  2. Hey Sandy! What color did you decide to paint the buffet? I don't think you told me?

  3. I did it white (the body) and did a faux silver leaf finish on the drawers and doors. My husband is actually measuring right now to drill the holes for the hardware :) We got it a day early :) I bought lions head pulls. I had this idea of wanting it to look really glam, but I think I don't think I like it...I might just paint it all white....I don't know we'll see. I'll live with it for a while. I can't really experiment with colors in the living room. I prefer to keep it a neutral like white since I change out accessories quite frequently. I also liked it being a light color cause it takes up less visual space and I have quite a lot going on in the living room (which I like, it makes it cozy) but I also don't like it to feel like too much.

  4. Hmm..the pulls are on now. I like it more now :) We'll see. One thing is for sure as my husband said yesterday---"If you don't like it, you'll change it til you do." He's getting use to me tweaking and changing things. :)
