And... if you are new to my blog... let me catch you up real quick.... that HUGE freakin limb fell in my front yard. There, you're all caught up, well almost, then I went tree branch happy for a while and used the branches for everything I could think of.
Let's see what I did with them all? Well, there was the endless Fall/Thanksgiving decorating, like these branches draped with a paper leaf garland.
Then there was the endless supply of tree slices. I always rock the country vibe around Thanksgiving!
Even a fabric wrapped branch... don't ask... it just popped into my head, so I did it.
And... there were several other tree branch related things but I won't bore you by repeating them all again. So, back to the present. I still have some tree limb left and I'm putting it to good use. When they (the tree cutter-uppers) were cutting the limb down to size, for removal, I went out and asked them nicely if they would cut a few pieces for me to keep, which they were happy to do. I had this piece cut with a coffee table in mind, and now finally, a couple of months later...guess what? IT'S A COFFEE TABLE!
Not an original idea, I know. But, I did give it a snazzy little metallic silver wax job!
Doesn't it kinda look like an upside down butt from this angle. Wearing a pair of jeans with brown pockets, and a wallet in the back pocket! Sorry my imagination just got carried away. I wasn't going for that look... just a perk I guess HA!
I thought it turned out neat enough that it deserved to be shared. I love it
So what do you think? Do you have a sudden urge to go out and prune your trees... or not so much?
heehee!
Oh...and...
HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!
Will you be my valentine?
Smiles!
