BEFORE
There was a lot going on in there and I had mentioned that the red chairs would be leaving the room. Well, they have left the room. Here is how it looks now.
I threw my newly redone pearl blue chair in there because I like the blue with the gold, but I have to say that the chrome is throwing me off a little. The chair might be getting the boot or altered, one of the two. I'll keep you posted.
See that chess board table. That's the base of a dining table that had a large round glass top on it. I took off the glass top and replaced it with a inexpensive glass chess board to turn it into a game table/ end table. Fun huh?
A few pops of red. One of my most favorite colors!
That gold throw pillow there, was a place mat in it's former life. A little sewing and a pillow insert did the trick. I like how the diamond pattern mimics the little throw pillow behind it. It's all about the details right?
My tree stump coffee table. Still love it! Covered with vintage curved glass paper weights. They are meant to have pictures put on the bottom and the glass enlarges the look of the image. Love those too! See that silver ball with the beads attached to it? That is the bottom of an old curtain tieback.
Then there is my gold sequined beach bag turned firewood holder. How's that for a little bit of fun?!
And... yes the teak chest did make it into the room. There it is looking in the other direction from the sofa. I have a couple more things coming into this room in the form of artwork. I'm thinking turquoise!! So stay tuned.

I like it :) But what I'm most interested in is that I spotted a stencil on the teak chest! You hadn't shown that on the post you did about it :) cool!
ReplyDeleteI always love that you catch those things! I have to get a smaller stencil to finish it up. : )

wow! you did do some changes! as always just beautiful - but where did the tall gold shelf go? I have been looking for one similar to that and I'm having no luck. I love that you are so unafraid to do just about anything :o)
ReplyDeleteI moved that to the dining room. I'll be posting on that room soon. Never fails when I find a few new pieces, the whole house ends up getting rearranged! I love that shelf thingy too. I found it broken in two pieces at a yard sale for $2. It needed a lot of work but is now one of my favorite things.
DeleteWow, love it! All the changes look great! New friend! Drop by for a visit with me sometime!!
