Metallic Stenciled Curtain

Here is an easy "how to" for the metallic stenciled curtains.  First pick a solid fabric and sew your curtain panels.  Lay the curtain panel out on a table and place your stencil on top.  Give a little thought to how you want to center the stencil pattern.  You might want to start in the center of the fabric and work your way out to the sides going from top to bottom.  I was doing the stencil at night so the pictures are a little dark but you get the idea.

Here is a close up of how the metallic fabric paint lays on the fabric.  It gives really clean lines!
It looks much brighter in the daylight.

I used a small artist brush to apply the fabric paint.

You can find the metallic fabric paint online at Kit Kraft Inc.  It's about $5 for a small jar, and they have tons of colors.  The stencil is from Stencil-Decals online #1012

So what do you think?

  2. When I first saw it I thought that it had been done radomly, but now I see that you did them in rows and that every stencil in the "second"row is in between the upper and lower rows. I don't think it have the effect it does without doing that!

    1. Agreed! Lets it shine no matter how the curtain folds.

  9. Sammy, have you ever tried mixing Rub and Buff with clear PVA glue? I have, after mixing it glides over larger pieces really well and buffs up to a great shine too.
