Then it just kind of took shape as I found new things that I loved. Like... I love, love, love, fat vintage brass lamps! I have two on the other side of the room too! And, I love cowhide rugs too!
I found these two pint sized club chairs at an estate sale. Love those little guys too, although they will be reupholstered in the future!
Oh and lets not forget the other side of the room this time! There is my pearl blue and silver desk redo,
And, my metallic and blue velvet bench.
Well, that's how it sits for now. Nothing in my house is ever done though. It always changes as I find new things to love. I'll keep you posted!
So they say your entryway is supposed to set the tone for the rest of your house... Do you think my entryway would have you primed and ready to see other rooms that look like this,
and this,
that sometimes looks like this.
Hmmmmm??? Well, it's definitely not boring! : )

U have such lovely place, how fun. And the hallway definitely does give an indication of what to expect. I love how u carried the cowhide rug into the other rooms. Oh... and can we please talk about those gold lamps? Where did u find them? To die for :).
ReplyDeleteThe lamps!... I know right! 2 of them I got from a garage sale, for a whopping $3, then get this, I saw the almost IDENTICAL set of lamps on One Kings Lane for $1200.00 for the pair! Say WHAT! lol The other one I found at a thrift store! Crazy right?!

wow... u should get ur appraised for d heck of it. That's awesome.
DeleteDid the gold rub go on smoothly. I had the worst luck with paint and stencils. It kept leaking paint over the edges of the line of the stencil. It looked awful! I love how yours came out.
ReplyDeleteHey there! It did go on smoothly. I used Deglosser to thin the Rub n' Buff a bit so I could paint it on. It dries really fast. Here's a link to some of the tips and tricks I've found helpful when using the Rub n' Buff. http://renewredo.blogspot.com/2012/01/rub-n-buff-tips-and-tricks.html
