See that gray and white fabric just laying there, waiting for it's fate to be decided! Seeing it just laying there was inspiration all in it's self. It asked to be turned into a throw blanket. Well, throw blanket-ish. This is upholstery fabric so it has a good weight to it, but it's not super soft and fuzzy, which I don't mind!
This was just two yards of fabric. I hemmed all the way around the edges and then sewed some pom-pom fringe around the edge. Super cute right?!
For those of you who don't have a sewing machine,
or have one but refuse to use it (Sandy!). I guess this could be a no-sew project too. Just use the iron on hem tape around the edges of the fabric then use fabric glue to attach the fringe. Sounds like that would work too don't ya think!!
So what do you think? Is it super cute or am I over selling it? lol

It's cute!I'm a sucker for pom poms. That's a small enough project that it can be hand sewn :-p

Love it, what a great idea. This would be a cute project for the end of a bed in a little girl's room. Don't know why but I'm picturing a bright pink, white and green fabric with a pink pom pom trim-and I don't have a little girl.
ReplyDeletelol, Hi Karen! Ohhh I can picture it too! Super stinking cute!! : )
