Some Crazy Shenanigans!

Back to my house!  I have a little switch-eroo to share. Thought I'd get you up to date on how things look at the minute.  I guess I should really say... how things looked a FEW minutes ago, because a lot has changed already since these pictures were taken.  But... I'll get to all that later.  Remember my dining room? The last time I blogged about it... I think was around Christmas time. It looked a little something like this for a while.

Well, things have been switched around.... a lot.  I mentioned before that we don't use this dining room for eating (maybe once in a blue moon.)  This room is meant to be the formal living room/ dining room area, and really, is just a big room we walk by everyday to get to the part of the house that we actually use.  Anyone else have rooms like that?  You never really use them... just walk past them day after day.  Seems like a waste of space.  So in efforts to make this room more usable for our lifestyle.  I flipped how it was intended to be used (by the builder). When we do use this room, we only really use the table, not for eating, but for game nights and stuff like that.  So... it makes more sense to have the table on the largest side of the room.  Here is how things are were.... and will probably go back to being... but I've gone into experimental mood!

Still staying true to my love of neutrals, the walls are painted with

I love this color.  It's very soothing. It has a bit of a green undertone.  Hard to tell from the pic above.

Something fun... see that great big blue picture... how could you miss it right?!  This is what it is...

A digitally altered image of those old tractor blades.  Remember those?  You can see the posts on making your own large scale artwork here and here.

So... I showed you all of that, only to say now... that it looks nothing like that anymore... HA!  But at least you know where it started....

I'll have to break all of this up into multiple posts.  One, because I'm not finished yet... and two, because this would be the longest post in history.... then I'd disappear again for a while with nothing to post about.  That's no fun!  But... I will leave you with a snipet of some of the crazy shenanigans that's been going on in there.

SAY WHATTTT!  Bet you didn't see that coming!  I told you... some crazy shenanigans!
Stay tuned!
