Painting My Steamer Trunk Coffee Table

Remember the steamer trunk I started using in the living room for a coffee table?

Well it got a little face lift, a.k.a., paint job.  You can't really tell in the picture above but the trunk has a distressed look to it from all its years of use.  Which I like.  I added a coat of paint but kept the distressed look.

You can't tell the color very well in the picture above, so here is a close up of the color.

It's called "New Spruce", by Valspar

I also rearranged the sectional pieces, took out the bamboo area rug, added more color with throw pillows, and

I brought in a large painting that tied all the colors together.

Easy update for spring color, just reworking what I already had.

  13. I would love to install hardwood floors throughout my entire house, and then get a bamboo area rug to put in the center under the coffee table.

  14. Could you tell me what paint you used here - the blue green? Was it a chalk paint, or a milk paint? Thanks!
