A New Find, And The Start Of A Chair Redo!

Hello all, and hope you had a FANTABULOUS weekend!  I know I did!  My honey had the whole weekend off (not the norm) and he went thrifting with me (also not the norm).  We found some great things!  He even spotted a few things that will make great repurposed projects! I love it when he starts getting into the furniture redo groove, and he love's it when I love his ideas!  More on that later.
Here is one of the things I spotted and fell in love with.  A dining table that reminds me of a greek key design!

The chairs around the table are old thrift store finds that I'm still working on.  I'm using my trusty Rub n' Buff, but can't quite decide if I want them silver, or gold... or gilver.  Right now, some are gilver and some are in the first stage of becoming silver, and none are completely fininshed.  Then there is the recovering part... the jury is still out on that too.

These two below are gilver... a combination of silver leaf and gold leaf Rub n' Buff.  It's kind of the best of both worlds... We'll see.

Here is what the chairs did look like.  Sorry this pic is a little blurry.  It's the only before pic of all of them I've got.

And here is what Rub n' Buff looks like... if you are not familiar with that.

I'll do a full reveal post on the chairs when they are finally finished.  I'm also putting together a post for tips and tricks I've learned when using Rub n' Buff on large pieces of furniture... so stay tuned for that too!
